Wells of Wisdom, Mirrors of Society brings together the distinct yet complementary visions of two contemporary artists, Charanjeet Singh and Mangesh Rajguru. This exhibition explores the intersection of history, conservation, and social commentary through the lens of ancient architecture, intricate miniatures, and bold, vibrant figurative art. Charanjeet Singh’s works focus on water conservation, drawing inspiration from India’s ancient step wells and Mughal miniatures. His art serves as a reminder of the resilience embedded in historical structures, intertwining beauty and practicality to call attention to the importance of water in today’s world.

In contrast, Mangesh Rajguru uses satire, humour, and irony to shed light on contemporary societal challenges, rooted in lessons from history. His vibrant works are a colourful and thought-provoking critique of modern society, urging viewers to reflect on social dynamics and human behaviour. Together, the artists’ works form a dialogue between environmental and social issues, inviting audiences to reflect on the ways history informs our present-day realities.
