Samit Das is a visionary artist with a keen interest in archiving, documentation, and sustainable technology. Through his innovative approach, he has seamlessly integrated history, archives, and hands-on art practice, culminating in the development of a studio space that serves as a living installation. Utilising recycled and urban waste, Das pioneers sustainable art practices while specialising in painting, photography, interactive artworks, and artist’s books. Inspired by history and architecture, he creates multi-sensory environments that engage viewers on various levels. The gallery has particularly spotlighted his abstract artworks based on architecture, showcasing Das’s unique ability to intertwine artistic expression with historical narratives in compelling ways.
