Marching Forward Falling Backwards

Mangesh Rajguru’s solo show carries a sharper voice and a richer sense of clarity. The colours stay bold and the figures feel playful, yet a steady unease moves beneath them. History walks into the present with ease and exposes the gap between what we claim and what we practise. Rajguru uses dry humour to point at the way society speaks of progress while drifting into familiar patterns. The touch is calm. The message lands quietly and stays with you.

This exhibition reflects an artist who has grown more assured in his language. The satire feels cleaner and the commentary sits closer to everyday life. Rajguru opens a space for viewers to look at the world through a wider lens. The paintings suggest that the past still sits in the room and waits for us to listen. Marching Forward Falling Backwards becomes a clear call to pause and pay attention.
