“Change and evolution are vital parts of my expression. In addition to already established narratives from my surroundings, my latest solo show references history, including monolithic caves and historical sites. I grew up with these visual impressions in rural Bihar. Historical structures remind us of ancient times, languages, people and philosophies, connecting with us and influencing our present, shaping our future. The process allows learning from our past and helps us evolve. Combining new materials and different elements justifies a new thought process with anthropological influences and linguistic roots. Broadening the scope of my expression from two to three dimensions is another new effort. Having a connection with my audience, inspiring society and challenging the prevailing narrative are what I hope to achieve.” ABHIJIT PATHAK
